The Old Harry Heritage Site Is Getting Ready to Welcome You!
We are delighted to announce the reopening of our museums starting June 3, 2025!
This summer, come and explore the history, culture, and heritage of the English-speaking community of the Magdalen Islands. Here's an overview of what we offer:
Little Red Schoolhouse
The former school of Old Harry, which served the village children from 1922 to 1973, now hosts an exhibition on island life and the challenges faced by the English-speaking community.

Veterans Museum
This museum pays tribute to the contributions of both English- and French-speaking residents of the Magdalen Islands during 20th-century military conflicts, including the World Wars and the Korean War, while also exploring the human impact of war today.

Entry Island Historical Museum
Located in the former schoolhouse on Entry Island, the museum highlights the heritage and lifestyle of Entry Island residents, shaped by farming, fishing, mutual aid, and self-sufficiency.

Grandma's Bakery
Our heritage bakery continues the culinary traditions of the English-speaking community of the Magdalen Islands. Every morning, we prepare old-fashioned baked goods, delighting locals and visitors alike.

St. Peter's-by-the-Sea Church: "A People of the Sea" Exhibition
Partly built with materials salvaged from shipwrecks, this Anglican church now houses the "A People of the Sea" exhibition, exploring the unique bond between the people of the Magdalen Islands and the sea.
